Today I went down to watch my
FIRST canoe-polo match. It was quite an exposure, learned a little about the game. The game is very intense, can get quite rough. The thing is you got to really think fast as the playing space is small and the canoe is already so big, every where there are people. The little ball is surrounded by so many people. Your arm got to be super strong cause you got to canoe, play ball with one hand, sometimes shoot far far away. But the playing time is short so it makes it more intense but not so bad when it comes to endurance.
Headed down to Clark quay to watch the match. There were canoeists everywhere. Everyone had nice tone bodies and so well tanned. Shall work towards the arm muscles part. I think my arm is so weak, got to TRAIN! But the crowd was not too big, which reflects the small canoe polo community. The 3 main schools were TP, NP and SP who were the organizers. TP team did well and WON NP. The guy team came down to support, they were shouting at the referee. The next match was bulldogs vs Fiasco. I supported Fiasco cause they look like they were nice people. My judgment was good, cause they won, they are good enough to beat their seniors. The guys match was more intense as they paddled faster and had power passes. After that was TP vs National Team. We lost but it was a good fight. Proud of team TP!
I am totally happy with the exposure today. To my dismay, I
got sunburn while watching. My face is red again!!! I was still in the process of whitening from SENTOSA trip!
