Tried Botak Jones twice. I had to wait 30mins for it the 1st time! First attempt was FISH & CHIPS, the servings are so big, but the food was not really spectacular as described by many. The fish lack of much taste. The saving grace would be the sauce. The TARTAR sauce was unlike anything else I have tasted before. It was thick and full of flavours and the texture was enhance with bits of some pickle look alike. The sauce added flavours to the items in the dish from the fish to the fries. Second attempt was much better. I was smart enough to call and order therefore by the time I got there, my food was ready for me. No more waiting. The hot and not soggy taste was wonderful for the fries. The spicy fries were nice, the spicy powder was not too hot but some how the taste was special, it is even nicer than the Carl's Junior. {And the spiciness is giving my weak stomach of mine a hard time.} The Cajun Chicken was tender and full of flavour. It was juicy too. But as it was a take away order, by the time I started eating, the cheese had already become hard and thus took away the flavour of the spicy sauce with cheese. But the flavour of the sauce in the chicken was still evident. It was a lot better than fish and chips, I suggest they change the ranking. The menu for the restaurant is so funny. {They claim to offer restaurant quality} It doesn't really look like a menu. More like a proposal without a file. It has 14 pages printed on bright yellow paper stapled together. The descriptions are written in Singlish to the best of the creator's ability. The fronts are funky too. The weird thing about the menu is the snippet of quotes from some not really know people {to me}. Here are the quotes..."You can tell a man is clever by his answer. You can tell a man is wise by his questions." - Naguib Mahfouz"A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.A successful woman is one who can find such a man." !"It's hard to make a comeback When you haven't been anywhere"-Written on the back of a dusty bus in Wickenburg ArizonaThe rest of the quotes shall not be put up due to some reasons or another.
